| Description: |
How can colleges and universities provide prospective students with information that is detailed, attractive and, above all, accurate? The Guidebook introduces readers to the overall information needs of students and then zeroes in on ways that each institution can discover its students’ own specific information needs.
The Guidebook was developed at NCHEMS to help institutions better present information to prospective students, in ways that comply with the federal requirements as specified in the Higher Education Amendments of 1976. While this practical manual is intended primarily for admissions, public relations, publications, and all other staff of postsecondary institutions, it is by no means limited to them. High school guidance and community agency counselors may also put it to practical use. Appendixes contain sample instruments developed at NCHEMS for an improved information delivery system. |
