| Description: |
This volume represents the final report of a joint project undertaken by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation (COPA) and NCHEMS to improve the accreditation process that serves institutional self-assessment. Funded by The Ford Foundation, the project addressed difficulties associated with data collection and the lack of standard terminology used by the 50 different accrediting agencies.
The report presents a common language for collecting accreditation data, one that will lighten the burden that institutions experience due to multiple assessment activities. Designed for working administrators, this volume offers categories and definitions that will enable institutions and agencies alike to improve data collection, an important step in developing more effective assessment programs. |
